Locker Sizes & Capacity

Small (¥300–¥400): Fits backpacks, small shopping bags, and umbrellas.
Medium (¥500–¥600): Fits carry-on sized luggage and sports bags.
Large (¥700–¥900): Fits full-sized checked suitcases and bulky backpacks.

IC-Card Pay & Tracking

Modern lockers accept payment via IC cards (Suica/Pasmo). Tap your card on the terminal to pay; your IC card acts as the digital key. Tap the same card to unlock your locker.

Locker Scarcity

Large lockers at major stations (like Tokyo, Kyoto, or Shinjuku) fill up by 10:00 AM. If empty lockers aren't found, look for tourist information centers offering manual luggage storage services.
