How To Use Ticket Machine Restaurants
Many casual fast-food spots (ramen, soba, katsu, beef bowls) utilize automated ticket vending machines at the entrance. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Insert Payment First
Insert your physical cash bills/coins or tap your digital transit IC card (Suica/Pasmo) BEFORE selecting your food.
Step 2: Watch for Lights
Wait for the buttons to illuminate, showing which food items are available to order.
Step 3: Select Food Options
Press the buttons for your food choices (and additional toppings/drinks if desired).
Step 4: Collect Tickets & Change
Take the small printed paper food tickets and your change from the tray.
Step 5: Hand Over Tickets
Walk inside and hand the printed paper tickets directly to the counter chef or staff.
